What is a Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels are cosmetic treatments that can be applied to the face, hands, and neck. They’re used to improve the appearance or feel of the skin. During this procedure, there are different levels of chemical solutions that will be applied to the area being treated. Depending on the solution the treatment may be applied to stay on for 24 hours or may be washed off immediately, upon the skins condition. This will cause the skin to exfoliate and eventually peel off, some people may experience extensive peeling or some may experience mild flaking. Although this treatment might sound scary, it is a great way to reveal fresh smoother skin.

With chemical peels depending on the level and your concern there may be some downtime. Some people may experience flakiness and some people may experience intense peeling. But no worries the peeling is good that is what your skin will need to rejuvenate! Peeling may take from 3 days up till a week and a half it varies from person to person.
